Winnipeg Manitoba Temple

At the 181st General Conference of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, prophet Thomas S. Monson announced the building of a new temple in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. This will be the ninth Mormon temple to be built in Canada. Winnipeg is the capital of the province of Manitoba.

Latter-day Saints in the area have been driving 400 miles to attend the temple in Regina, Saskatchewan.

    the winnipeg temple was announced i have heard nothing. What is the status?
